With the 500e, Abarth changes register completely without giving up its role as a small urban firecracker. This 155 hp version keeps the Fiat EV's 42 kWh battery, but the throttle calibration, electronic differential and artificial soundtrack give it a much more demonstrative feel. In spirit, it aims more at a modern MINI than at a simple everyday electric city car.
The model's strength lies in its punchy acceleration up to sensible speeds and in a short chassis that still feels lively despite the battery mass. Turismo, Scorpion Street and Scorpion Track noticeably alter throttle response and energy recovery. In real use, the car suits suburban work better than motorway mileage, where the small battery and bluff aerodynamics quickly trim usable range.
