The second ZDX has nothing to do with the first one. It returns as a large electric SUV built on GM's Ultium architecture, with rear-wheel drive versions, AWD variants and a much more mainstream premium-EV mission closer to a BMW iX than to the old niche crossover.
That shifts the maintenance logic almost entirely toward battery, charging and software health. A good ZDX II should charge consistently, show no high-voltage warnings and feel electronically mature. A poor one is more likely to disappoint through update history, erratic charging or the accelerated tyre and brake wear of a heavy EV.
