The Tonale marks Alfa's move toward a more compact, more technological and more hybridized direction. That makes it attractive on the used market, but also more dependent on software state, battery health and realistic use than older Alfas.
The range includes mild-hybrid `1.5` versions, the `1.3 T MultiAir` plug-in hybrid, a `1.6` diesel and in some markets a `2.0 T4`. The mild hybrid can work well if the 48 V side stays healthy. The PHEV only makes sense if it was charged regularly and updated correctly. The diesel only works with a believable road-use profile.
