Since `2019`, the `RS6 Avant C8` has become the very image of the modern ultra-performance estate: very wide body, twin-turbo `V8`, `48 V MHEV` system, huge equipment level and supercar pace with family load space. Against a BMW 5 Series Touring or a very powerful Mercedes-Benz E-Class estate, it combines mechanical violence, daily usability and major road presence. Used, it feels newer and more reassuring than older `RS6` generations, but its potential running costs remain extremely high.
The central issue is the `4.0 TFSI V8` `MHEV`, paired with the `8-speed tiptronic`, `quattro`, air suspension or `DRC` depending on spec, and a very dense electronic environment. `Performance` and `GT` versions push the loads on brakes, tyres, chassis and software even further. The real question is not the model's age but the quality of the follow-up: oil changes, thermal management, `12 V` battery, `48 V` network, updates, suspension, heavy consumables and the coherence of a history that explains the car's life.
