Launched in `2019`, the `RSQ8 4M` turns the `Q8` platform into something far more radical: a biturbo `V8`, massive rolling stock, a demonstrative presentation and true super-SUV pace. Against a BMW X6 M, it plays less on sheer aggression and more on fast grand-touring character, but with the same potential for very heavy bills. Used, it should never be read as a simple `Q8` with a big engine.
This first phase revolves around the `4.0 TFSI` `DHU`, the `8-speed` `tiptronic`, quattro and the `48 V` mild-hybrid system. Well-specced cars add air suspension, rear-wheel steering, huge brakes and sometimes carbon-ceramic hardware, which makes maintenance and consumables even more demanding. The real quality of an `RSQ8` shows in the V8's thermal behaviour, the consistency of starts, the health of the `12 V` and `48 V` networks, and the condition of the brakes, tyres and suspension components.
