The `Mulsanne EWB` pushes the logic of the hand-built big Bentley all the way into chauffeur-limousine territory. The stretched wheelbase mainly benefits the rear passengers, with real work on comfort, sound insulation and the feeling of space. The model does not try to imitate a modern German saloon; it openly embraces a more ceremonial, denser and much more traditionally Crewe approach.
A very high-end Mercedes-Benz S-Class may feel more digital; the `Mulsanne EWB` instead gives a more handcrafted and more solemn impression. Its old `6.75-litre V8`, `ZF 8` gearbox and suspension still have to function with the same perfection as a modern car, otherwise the illusion collapses quickly. In a car like this, the rear-seat equipment matters almost as much as the mechanical package.
