The 2025 facelift does not turn the `Dolphin` into a brand-new car, but it improves the areas that matter most: finish quality, equipment, software management and range clarity. It keeps its role as an easy compact EV with practical dimensions and technology that now feels more mature. BYD refined the product instead of reinventing it, which is often good news on the used market.
The `45.12 kWh` and `60.48 kWh` batteries are enough to cover fairly different needs, from urban use with extra margin to genuine suburban commuting. Compared with an MG4, the facelifted Dolphin remains the calmer option, less demonstrative dynamically but very coherent in daily use. To enjoy that, the car simply needs to be clean both in software terms and in charging behaviour.
