Alfa Romeo Alfa 147 I (2000-2006)

Launched in 2000, the 147 moved Alfa into a more desirable compact-car space. Especially as a three-door, it was easy to buy for its style and its sharp front end. Keeping one healthy is a different question entirely.

Core engines are the `1.6 Twin Spark`, the `2.0 Twin Spark` `AR 32310` and the `1.9 JTD` family. Petrol cars bring the character, diesels bring torque, but the real dividing line is the optional `Selespeed`: it is not a harmless automatic, but one of the main risk points on the whole model.
