Shown in Shanghai in `2021`, the `Audi A6 e-tron concept` was far more than a styling exercise. It previewed Audi's next large electric saloon with real technical intent: almost five metres long, a Sportback profile and a drag coefficient aimed much closer to a Porsche Taycan than to an electric SUV. From a maintenance point of view, the interest is not the life of a rare concept car, but what it reveals about the first serious PPE wave from Audi.
The technical file is already clear: `PPE` platform, `800 V` architecture, `100 kWh` battery, `DC` charging up to `270 kW`, `300 km` recovered in `10 minutes`, and `5 to 80%` claimed in `25 minutes`. Audi also announced `350 kW`, `800 Nm` and dual-motor `quattro` four-wheel drive. In other words, the things that will matter later on production cars are already here: pack thermal management, preconditioning, charging consistency, regenerative-braking calibration and reduction-gear refinement.
