Launched in `2017`, the `RS5 Coupe II F5` moves from the naturally aspirated `V8` to the `2.9 V6 biturbo` with `450 hp`. It is less nostalgic to the ear, but much stronger through the mid-range and easier to use quickly. Against a Porsche 911 or a highly powered Mercedes C-Class, it positions itself as a very fast, very complete `quattro` coupe with strong real-world usability.

Technically, the `2.9 TFSI` works with the `ZF 8HP` and `quattro`, so the whole package depends on healthy thermals, clean software, regular fluid work and a chassis that has not already been used up. The important reading is therefore not just power and spec, but the cooling circuit, charge-air side, gearbox behaviour, front axle, brakes and tyre wear. On this generation, poor upkeep often appears first through small inconsistencies rather than one big failure.
