The Seville V is the final interpretation of this large front-drive Cadillac with a firmer character than the brand average. More refined in presentation, more serious in its road manners and always centred on quiet comfort, it aimed to remain credible against a Mercedes S-Class without abandoning the American tradition of a large V8 and generous equipment. Today it reads as a connoisseur's grand tourer - less spectacular than an Escalade, but no less expensive when it has been neglected.

This generation runs on the 4.6 Northstar, LD8 on the more relaxed versions and L37 on the STS, always paired with the 4T80-E automatic. The technical foundations are more refined than on the previous Seville, but the vigilance points remain very close: impeccable cooling, normal circuit pressure, sound electrical health and still-clean damping. A well-kept Seville V should feel very smooth when hot, with no excessive gearbox inertia and no chassis agitation.
