The Vantage launched in 2018 breaks sharply with the 2005 car. Wider, more aggressive and much more technical, it adopts AMG's `4.0-litre twin-turbo V8` and an electronic differential that make it far more incisive. Its world is that of the modern sports coupe with a real appetite for attack, so it naturally sits closer to a Jaguar F-Type or a recent 911 than to the original Vantage.
The `M177` engine brings huge torque and a more brutal character than the old naturally aspirated V8. The `ZF 8-speed`, aluminium chassis and drive modes transform the experience: there is less of the first generation's hand-built charm, but a lot more outright performance. The `F1 Edition` pushes that logic even further with tighter aero and chassis tuning.
