Since `2019`, the `RS7 Sportback C8` has pushed the big fast Audi hatchback formula even further: very dramatic styling, twin-turbo `V8`, `48 V MHEV` system, digital cabin and super-GT pace. Against a highly powered BMW 5 Series or a high-performance Mercedes-Benz E-Class, it trades some of the `RS6`'s discretion for more visual impact. Used, that sophistication also makes it more demanding to read than it first appears.
The core remains the `4.0 TFSI V8`, paired with the `8-speed tiptronic`, `quattro` and the `48 V` network, with even higher loads on `Performance` versions. The quality of the car shows through thermal management, fluid changes, the `12 V` battery, software, suspension, big brakes, tyres and the way its maintenance history explains those areas. A well-kept `RS7 C8` stays coherent; a neglected one can stack electronic warnings and heavy chassis bills very quickly.
