The `Arnage T` pushes the big turbo Bentley idea much further than the `Arnage R`. Its `6.75 biturbo V8` produces immense torque and an almost absurd shove for a saloon of this size, with the strange sensation of a three-piece-suit catapult. The natural comparison is closer to a period Mercedes-Benz S-Class AMG than to a pure sports car, even if the `Arnage T` is mainly about mechanical authority and sheer character.
In the `2002-2009` phase, everything depends on whether the engine and chassis can absorb that excess. The cooling system has to be faultless, the automatic gearbox has to hold the torque cleanly, and the front axle has to stay coherent despite both the mass and the savage surges the car can deliver. A well-kept `Arnage T` still impresses with calm force; a neglected one quickly becomes vague, thirsty and expensive.
