The 2013 facelift gives the SRX a cleaner visual end-of-run and above all a more legible range. Cadillac simplifies the offer around the 3.6 V6 LFX, keeps the comfort and silence orientation, and makes the model more coherent in its premium crossover positioning. In use it remains closer to a Lexus RX than a sharp German SUV, with an approach that is softer than demonstrative.
This late phase is often the most interesting to buy because the early-life problems are better understood and the mechanics are simpler to read. The 3.6 LFX is a reasonable base when cooling, ignition and oil changes stay clean, but the automatic gearbox, AWD and on-board electronics must meet the same standard. On a facelifted SRX, an irritating screen or a sluggish interface is enough to collapse the quality perception quickly.
