The second-generation `Flying Spur` becomes a true Bentley in its own right, no longer just a four-door Continental derivative. It gains presence, interior refinement and a more distinct style while keeping the `V8` and `W12` engines that allow remarkable pace for such a luxurious saloon. It remains, first and foremost, an aristocratic long-distance car rather than a disguised sports saloon.

Next to a Porsche Panamera, the `Flying Spur` feels more hushed, denser in the way it delivers its effort and much more focused on passenger comfort. The `V8` is often the rational choice; the `W12` adds that sense of endless reserve that by itself justifies part of the model's prestige. In both cases, the `ZF` gearbox, all-wheel drive and suspension define the real quality of ownership.
