The generation launched in 2020 gives the Escalade a spectacular interior, an independent rear suspension and a level of technology unprecedented in the model's history. Cadillac wants to preserve the iconic image of the great American SUV while catching up with the best in the segment for comfort and equipment. The most credible comparison remains with the Lincoln Navigator, with a Cadillac proposal that is more theatrical and more technically ambitious.

The choice between the 6.2 V8 L87 and the 3.0 Duramax LM2 fundamentally changes the character of the vehicle. The V8 remains the most coherent match for the Escalade spirit, but demands genuine vigilance on the lifters, the AFM system and the 10-speed gearbox. The diesel, meanwhile, wins over with its torque and its long-haul efficiency, provided purely urban use is avoided and the entire emissions system is closely monitored. In either case, OLED screens, adaptive suspension and driving aids must stay at the expected level.
