Launched in 2016 on the lightweight MLB evo platform, the Audi A4 Allroad B9 sheds substantial weight compared to its B8 predecessor thanks to extensive hot-formed steel and aluminium construction. Petrol variants feature the 2.0 TFSI producing 190 hp (CZPA) or 252 hp (DKNA) with direct injection. On these high-performance petrol units, the camshaft-driven high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP) can occasionally generate minute metallic particles if contaminated oil degrades the follower lobe. Frequent oil changes and dedicated Audi A4 maintenance prevent premature wear across the lubrication and fuel systems.
