The third `Continental GTC` carries over the full leap forward of the coupe and adapts it to a large convertible that is surprisingly disciplined. Modern platform architecture, a faster roof, a dual-clutch gearbox and advanced chassis systems remove much of the inertia long associated with earlier `GTC`s. The car remains immense, but it finally feels as modern to drive as it looks.
It naturally sits beside a very high-end Porsche 911 Cabriolet, except that it offers a much more hushed, longer-legged and more luxurious experience. The `V8` suits its role very well, while the `W12 Speed` adds the locomotive-like force that still makes an open Bentley so appealing. In both cases, the active chassis and the onboard electronics play a central role.
