Introduced in 2008 under the N150 designation, the Nexia II Saloon refreshed the enduring Kadett platform with contemporary front-end styling, projector headlights, and an updated dashboard. Built primarily by GM Uzbekistan, it paired ultra-low ownership costs with updated GM powertrain options to serve high-mileage taxi and commuter markets. Dedicated Daewoo Nexia maintenance preserves the mechanical stamina that made this updated saloon famous.
Engine choices evolved to include the 80 hp 1.5 SOHC (A15SMS) and the punchy 109 hp 1.6 DOHC 16V (F16D3) borrowed from the Chevrolet Lacetti. While modern direct-ignition coils eliminated older distributor troubles, the 16-valve engine remains an interference unit requiring strict adherence to cambelt kit schedules. In addition, the cabin heater matrix can become clogged or weep coolant onto the front carpets, while the radiator plastic tanks suffer thermal stress.
