BMW M5 Touring (G99) (2024-Présent)

With the G99 launched in 2024, the BMW M5 Touring finally returns as a very high-performance estate. Against a normal 5 Series Touring, the gap is enormous: everything here revolves around a `727 hp` plug-in hybrid package designed to combine load space, family use and super-saloon pace. That promise is attractive, but it requires a much broader maintenance reading than a simple big combustion engine.

The technical core combines the `S68 V8`, an electric motor integrated into the `8-speed M Steptronic`, a high-voltage battery of around `18.6 kWh net` and `M xDrive`. BMW quotes `1,000 Nm`, `0-100 km/h` in `3.6 s` and a level of versatility never before seen in an M5 Touring. In practice, that means watching charging quality, EV-to-combustion transitions, software stability, the cross-cooling of the systems and the coherence of braking between energy recovery and friction braking.
