BMW M4 (G82 LCI, facelift 2024) (2024-Présent)

The 2024 facelift of the BMW M4 G82 does not change the philosophy, but strengthens the idea of a very fast, highly assisted and more digital M coupé than earlier generations. Against a contemporary Mercedes C-Class AMG Coupé, it still trades on the balance between efficiency, traction and precision at speed. LCI here means more power on some versions, a revised cabin and more software integration, not any softening of the maintenance challenge.

The base remains the `S58` biturbo straight-six with `480 hp` in the manual rear-wheel-drive version, then `530 hp` in the facelifted `M4 Competition Coupé xDrive`. Above that sits the 2024 `M4 CS` with `550 hp` and an even more extreme chassis setup. The `8-speed M Steptronic`, `M xDrive`, cooling system and the electronic control strategies therefore become even more important when reading a used example. A good G82 LCI needs to feel completely coherent between engine, transmission, driver aids and thermal behaviour.
