The late-2014 LCI facelift of the BMW M6 Convertible F12M introduced standard adaptive LED headlights, revised kidney grille slats, updated interior finishes, and upgraded Competition Package options boosting output to 575 hp and eventually 600 hp. It combined open-air luxury with near-supercar acceleration. Protecting such a complex grand tourer requires uncompromising BMW M6 maintenance, targeting thermal resilience and transmission health.

Under the sculpted bonnet, the S63TU engine features cross-bank exhaust manifolds and twin-scroll turbochargers. Preventative maintenance must focus on the turbocharger coolant lines, which are prone to baking and leaking due to extreme heat inside the engine valley. The seven-speed M DCT gearbox delivers instantaneous shifts, while the active M differential optimizes rear traction during hard acceleration.

The folding fabric roof features a heated glass rear window that can be lowered independently for ventilation. On models optioned with M Carbon Ceramic Brakes (CCB), inspect rotor surfaces for chipping or carbon oxidation, as replacement parts are exceptionally costly.
