BMW 7 Series Saloon E65 (2001-2005)

Unveiled in late 2001 under Chris Bangle's daring design revolution, the BMW 7 Series Saloon E65 discarded traditional styling in favour of an imposing techno-flagship featuring an all-aluminium chassis, early iDrive controller and revolutionary column-shift automatic transmission. A rolling technological showcase, owning one successfully requires disciplined BMW 7 Series maintenance, where battery voltage and electronic control units are as vital as mechanical components.

The model range launched with the N62 quad-cam V8 (735i, 745i) alongside the durable M57 straight-six turbodiesel (730d).
