Launched in 2015, the long-wheelbase BMW 7 Series Long G12 took full advantage of Munich's Carbon Core construction, shedding up to 130 kg while extending the wheelbase by 14 cm. Designed as an opulent executive transport, it offered features such as Executive Lounge rear seating, ambient fragrance, Sky Lounge panoramic roof and a removable rear tablet. Preserving its exceptional composure requires diligent BMW 7 Series maintenance, focusing on engine thermal management and chassis systems.

The 2015-2019 mechanical portfolio centred on the smooth B57 straight-six diesel (730Ld, 740Ld, 750Ld), the B58 petrol straight-six (740Li), the plug-in hybrid 740Le and the twin-turbo N63 V8 (750Li). All variants deployed the refined ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox, frequently combined with intelligent xDrive. Self-levelling two-axle air suspension was standard, delivering extraordinary ride suppleness when kept in prime condition.
